The sky was on fire for this sunset. I used a little bit of a slower shutter speed to give a slightly blurred dreamy feeling to the sweeping shape of the clouds.

Tear Open the Sky
This was taken looking across the Santa Maria valley from Nipomo California. These clouds looked like their structure at the top of the group was breaking apart and falling down onto the hills below. The focal length chosen frames this group of clouds and the color grading highlightes the beautiful tones produced by this sunset.
